LED tubes typically have a 120 degree beam angle, which can cause problems when replacing fluorescent tubes which have a 360 degree illumination.

By placing the replaceable driver at the end of the tube, the LEDs are able to be mounted lower in the tube, giving an effective 150 degree beam angle.

Rotating end caps further increase the viewing angle for optimum illumination.

For safety, these tubes come with an LED fuse which replaces the starter plug in the fluorescent fitting.
